SCRAPPED

Final game project for the Sound Design for Visual Media program at Vancouver Film School and my first time doing sound for a video game. The objective was to execute a complete sound redesign along with a team and implementing the sound assets tha we designed into the game. We used Unity and Wwise.

Before starting to design the sounds, me and my teammates discussed which aestehtic we wanted the game to have, defined the naming conventions and file formats that we were going to use and created and asset list to keep track of all the sounds for the game.

To create the sounds I used a mix of source material, synthesis and sound from libraries. For Dxter’s foley I used a lot of recordings of some vocal sounds performed by me!

Here are some of the sounds that I created for the game:

Dxter Footsteps
Bash Collectible
Dxter Bash
Dxter Gunshot
Octopie Footsteps
Octopie Damage
Octopie Throw
Octopie Jumpoff
